Best likeness of Marilyn in this price range
1 of 1 found this helpful Doll has a very good likeness of Marilyn, and her gown and fur are well executed. Once the doll is removed from box, a good steaming or careful ironing of gown corrects the wrinkles from packaging. The skin tone is a lovely light color and her hair looks better if the setting gel from manufacturer is washed out . A simple combing and fluff and it is Marilyn's look to a tee!
My doll had very slight off-center placement of lips which I corrected with a simple addition of acrilyc red paint 9artist quality) to round out left lower lip. Her nose appears a bit full so I slimmed down the tip with slight application of blush/tan pastel using a tiny q tip. These corrections are for those comfortable altering original face and can be reversed if desired.

A well-made Bride for Frankenstein
The way this doll/figure is designed allows for a wide variety of poses, and with some careful coaxing ( it is old after all and shouldn't be posed in any position too forcefully ) the wrists provide very expressive posing of her hands to suggest any number of emotions. The face is a fairly good likeness of Elsa Lanchester, although comparing the lips to stills from the movie one can see room for improvement, If you're talented with paint some adjustments can be made, and the same applies to shadowing around the eyes. However, if the figure is posed and lit properly - I suggest from below for maximum dramatic effect - then your Bride will be a wonderful, if reluctant, companion to your Frankenstein monster.
