Wet melting ice
We purchased it to make ice as we wanted a sub zero fridge and it doesn't have an ice maker. The machine arrived, we bought the blue bottle of water, attached, and first realized the hot water part wasn't straight forward and easy, so we had to choose to leave that off.
The machine makes ice, but it melts as fast as it makes, so the LOUD ice maker is making and dropping ice constantly. The ice is wet and you have to put a ton in your cup just to keep it from melting. It melts anyway, waters down my drinks, and I always have 1/3 drink left, with no ice, and that drink is watered down. Also, back to the machine, the ice clumps, as it melts, and has to be broken up each time you use. I actually went out and bought ice trays and my husband questioned why I didn't start a return already. I agreed, and am returning this thing. It cost too much to do such a poor job for what we bought it for. If you are only using ice with the cold water, Im sure you could get by, but your other drinks are going to be diluted by this ice.

Has it's good and it's bad
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been using the Brother all in one machines because they are relatively inexpensive to operate and the cost going in is relatively good. That said, all of my Brother all in one machines have had drum issues....which is a source of annoyance and expense. Beware, if you buy one, that you will likely encounter drum issues at about the one and a half year mark (if bought new), and perhaps sooner, if bought used.

This unit could use some serious improvements.
0 of 1 found this helpful We aren't getting our local channels with this, which is why we bought it. We do get channels for Augusta, GA, which is 60 miles to our west. So, we use the little remote they gave us, and figured out this makes things worse, really. When you use the websites to tell you which way to direct your antenna for the signals, for us it was north west, upon initial setup, you point the antenna that way, search for channels (and move antenna around for other possible signals). Then, when sitting in the house watching television, you don't get the signals, so you use the remote to move antenna, you have no way of knowing which direction your antenna is pointing. You literally have to go outside and look at the antenna to figure out where the remote moved the antenna to. The entire process is a nightmare. I would rather pay another 50 bucks, or whatever is needed to enable the system to function well enough for us not to have to run back and forth from the antenna to the television receiver. After 2 weeks of this, we are not happy with our purchase.
