Sony's difficult remote

Remote has poorly designed layout and is difficult to use. Button labels have poor contrast. Play button on my original unit broke long before player or any other button failed, in fact the DVD/VCR combo is still up and running well. I replaced original and now use my replacement only to program my universal remote.
