Item will do the task
I am installing it on a mini lathe spindle, have not installed it yet but bench tested it by waving a magnet over the sensor and it registers. Item arrives with no instruct/wiring diagram and China wire color code, brown=ground, etc. (found similar on utube) and tiny dia. wires too small for twist connect but hell,for the price am happy
