Ibanez AW7 auto wah
The AW7 is to me, the most versital and user friendly auto wah / envelope filter to be found.
It's very easy to find the sound your looking for and then lock in your settings by simply pushing down on the recessed knobs .
When the knobs are recessed, keeps your settings from being moles tested by loose gear that may be on your pedal board.
It also has a built in distortion circuit that you can engage before or after the wah phase of the signal chain.
Every auto wah/ envelope filter that I've ever used with the exception of one, tends to suck a little tone and volume out of the sound.
With the AW7, there's no need to worry about that, it has a volume knob that you can adjust to compensate for any tone suck.
And, the volume can be used with or without the distortion engaged.
I have 2 of them.
One for my solo, acoustic, jazz rig.
And one that is on my lead guitar pedalboard that I use with my band.
You can go from Jerry Garcia to Kirk Hammet with this pedal.
It's all you need in a auto wah pedal.
It is also very quiet when engaged or disengaged ( no pedal click) !

The best album that I've heard in years.
Any Allman Brothers fan or big band officianado will treasure the music that is on this album.
Marc Brassard's vocals on Whipping Post are completely mind blowing.
