Inexpensive but not quality.
Killer Instinct is an inexpensive product that is not built to last. The low cost reflects the low quality material that is used to build this crossbow. I have purchased three crossbows made by Killer Instinct in the last 3 years with the built in expectation that they are disposable. They generally shoot fairly accurately. We have taken numerous deer with them. However, the two previous crossbows limbs broke after being left overnight at full draw. Probably my responsibility for not discharging them after the hunt but still does not give much confidence in the quality of the material used to make the limbs. I am hopeful that the design of the Narrow Ravin X may allow the limbs to last a little longer. However, I am careful to unload after each hunt. If you are looking for a durable, good quality item, then Killer Instinct is not your brand. If you want an inexpensive crossbow that will fling bolts but needs to handled with extra care, this can be a way of saving a few dollars.
