Uplifting Hoist
Bike hoist is solidly built. Works well for lifting my bike out of the way giving me some room in the garage. The supplied rope is extremely long - should work well for really high garages. Used a plank board to mount to ceiling joists. Mounted the hoist on the plank board first, then secured the plank to the joists. Used table clamps to hold the plank in place while screwing the plank to the joists. Screws are really thick and long - had trouble screwing them in all the way even with a pilot drill hole but they are secure. Need a good #3 Philips bit for the screws. Hoist has a locking mechanism that makes it safer and easier to raise the bike.

Mac Pro still useful
Mac Pro CPU board still useful - can be upgraded to faster HEX core processor and lots of RAM (48GB). Good for virtualization.
