Did manufacturer ever test/use this product?

I am very disappointed. It does not hold 4 slices of bread comfortably; it does not toast evenly- the bottom toasts darker tan the top side; the crumb tray is designed so that a lot of the crumbs fall under the tray and to the bottom of the toaster. This means extra cleaning. The toast tray is not designed to come out when you open the door which means you must reach into the oven to get the toast - or use a utensil to bring the tray with the toast out to you. I do not recommend.
