Bandai 1/144 Yak 9D - One of Few Soviet A/C

I built one of these and just purchased another so that I have it on hand. They are getting harder to find. There are not nearly enough WW2 (or pre-war) Soviet aircraft available in pre-painted 1/144 scale. This is a good kit. The cockpit and wheel wells are unpainted, so by adding some quick and easy brush paint I ended up with a nice little addition to my 1/144 collection. I wish Bandai, F-Toys, or somebody would offer a Yak 1, Yak 3, a LAG3, LAG 5, I-153 or some of the other famous Soviet aircraft. Basically a good kit that goes together pretty quickly, and I like the clear stands with the bendable post if you want to use a "flying" pose for display. Decal sheet offers multiple options. Buy one. If you purchase it for less than $20 or so, you've done well. Steve L.

Looks like the originals, nicely sealed over with laquer. I plan on buying another neck and decal in the future.
