Airport Exterme Base Router
This Airport Extreme base router seems to be quicker than the older, original Airport router I was using. However, the BluRay player doesn't seem to stay consistently connected to this system despite the other computers and devices working well with it. The DVD player could be faulty, or perhaps the system is not fully compatible. I'm not sure yet. The product came with minimal, protective packaging, although it seems to work with the computers: a true testament to the Apple brand.

First Alert P1010
This product is simple to install. It comes with two screws and plastic wall/ceiling anchors. No need to buy wall anchors. So far, it has not given a false alarm. It also seems to work well with the decor of the room. It looks small or sophisticated enough to blend in with the antiqued lighting.
