Excellent value, excellent product
1 of 1 found this helpful Hydrus watercolors are vibrant, concentrated and has good flow. You only need to use a drop and add water, it goes a long way. The titanium white can make the transparent colors act like gouache and the carbon black is indeed very black. These are a shade less vibrant than the Radiant line, but unlike the Radiant line they ARE lightfast and archival. I love this set!

Excellent quality
1 of 1 found this helpful These pencils are professional artist quality, a standard along with caran d'ache and polychromos. They are wax based as opposed to the other two brands. Coverage is excellent, sharpens easily. Some colors will get a wax haze, but easily remedied with a soft cloth and fixative. Unlike some people's experiences, I didn't have any pencils in which the core was offset which would cause breakage. I checked each pencil and all were centered and to date, after using them for the last few weeks, no lead breakage at all. I will be ordering more as I go through them as they are terrific for my artwork.
