Singer Scholastic Model: 6510 Sewing Machine with Cover

Basic sewing machine that is durable!

This sewing machine is a basic machine with some extra stitches. It is a durable machine that will last for years. I just bought an extra one to use for teaching sewing. I have had my original model since 2004 and it is still going strong. I have had one major repair to my original machine about 3 years ago. I had been sewing heavy upholstery fabrics and I think I overburdened the inner mechanism. It had to be replaced. One benefit of this machine is that it will sew on heavy duty fabrics easily. Since these machines were intended for school use, they are built to be durable. I really enjoy this machine. It has all the basic stitches I will ever use and is easy to operate and handle. It is portable and comes with a cover. You can easily carry this machine by its handle. The one I bought used came with some missing parts (thread spool holder and bobbin case lid). The seller promised to purchase missing parts. I never received any parts so I ordered them myself. This particular machine needs a light repair job (the bobbin threading function doesn't stop the needle from moving up and down during bobbin threading like it is supposed to do).

Emerson Flute Head Joint

Excellent traditional head joint. I purchased it to use with an Artley Wilkins flute with B foot.I had the head joint fit to the flute. It has just the right amount of resistance for me. This head joint is a good value for a solid silver head joint.
