Bidet is too powerful and is for 1/2" fitting, not 3/8" compression
I got this to replace a similar, but not identical unit that developed a leak and isn't very easy to repair. It seemed OK when I put it in (see next paragraph) but wife mainly uses it, and found the spray much too strong. The valve only switches on and off, so you can't get a moderate stream. If you try, it switches back and forth between all the way on and all the way off. The possible installation "gotcha" here is the typical toilet water supply is 1/2" pipe, which this bidet uses, but then there is normally a 3/8 compression fitting shutoff valve so to work on the toilet (or bidet) you just turn off that little valve instead of all the water for the house. These bidets are usually run off the toilet valve for convenience.This one would require an extra 1/2" pipe tee and hopefully with its own 1/2" shutoff valve. I was able to reuse the hose from the old bidet, and just replaced the leaking spray.
