Dead right out of the box.
1 of 1 found this helpful These were dead right out of the box. The binoculars have pretty good glass but the electronics (camera feature) wouldn't even power on. Tried numerous sets of batteries and tried plugging it into the computer port but the electronics won't even power on. Meade is out of business so there's no sending them back either.

Died after very little use.
1 of 1 found this helpful This unit only worked for a little over a month with only occasional use. I only use my shop lights about 2 to 3 times per week. They usually stay on for 1 to 2 hours when they are used. The light was on for about 30 minutes and it made a pop noise and went out. Normally it sounds like a fan inside comes on when they get warm but this time it just made the pop noise and the light went dead. Way to expensive and hard to re-wire and change for 1 and a half months use.

Nice in theory and ease of installation but didn't last for very long.
1 of 2 found this helpful It's a good idea but it didn't last long. The pick up sensor died with very little use on a Hyster forklift we have in our shop. It ran okay for 15 to 20 short jobs and then it died while backing up. We hardly ever use the forklift so the unit could have only had 2 to 3 full hours of use on it. I had to put the old points and condenser in to finish the job. Glad I saved the old parts.
