2000 s type Jaguar
6 of 7 found this helpful bought the car on ebay out of New York w/ 93k. We attempted to drive the car to Florida; got as far a Virginia and the transmission went....$4400 to fix. Mechanic reported that the power steering unit leaked, the A frames on both sides were badly worn and at least 3 ignition coils were bad (the intake manifold has to be removed to fix this).....the mechanic indicated that someone had already put a leak sealer in the power steering. We fixed the transmission. Got it back to Fl; within one day the left rear window stopped working. When it was repaired the serviceman found a piece of cloth had been wrapped around the regulator to hold it in place. The check engine light is now on. Found a blog about Jags....many people with on-going similar issues. We have tried to sell it, but haven't had any offers over $ 6k....we paid $7200 plus the trans and the window....we really got taken on this car...the seller knew about the power steering and the window and withheld that info.
