Essie Polish is a Winner
It's a good creamy quality and covers the nail nicely. The colors are very pretty unlike the junk you get in the local pharmacy these days. It is a good value for money and I recommend it.

Voo Doo in New Orleans is a Winner
Tallant takes you right back into previous centuries to the days of voo doo ridden Old New Orleans. The book is filled with a realistic rendering of how it really was...all the old "hoo doos" and witch doctors come alive with their special recipes for love, money, even death. The way it is written, you can almost feel like you are sitting there in St. Ann Street in voo doo queen, the powerful Marie Laveau's parlor with her fifteen children and common law husband, Christophe Glapion, and her snake in the next room, with her love powders and potions, gris gris to keep enemies away, and candles festooning the residence. You feel her dark flashing eyes on you, her head tossed back into a raucous and disturbing laugh. You can almost hear the ruffle of her long dresses, the jingle of her big hoop earrings and many bracelets, see her plaid tignon on her head, her head held high like the voo doo queen that she was, inciting awe and fear into those who saw her. New Orleans was a colorful place in its day, with voo doo rites on Lake Ponchartrain, the people wildly dancing, drinking tafia and going into trances, drinking the blood of a poor rooster or black cat to get the POWER. Marie Laveau was the biggest, but the other queens and witch doctors were also part of the culture. Even today voo doo is big in the French Quarter, but it is less mysterious. And the place lacks the poetry of that time and place. It is quite a little book. What are you waiting for?
