Great thermostat
I was looking at the Nest but many reviews seem to think it's too smart for its own good, making "learned" decisions you might not agree with. I prefer to control my own thermostat (and automatic settings), but I wanted wifi remote control. The Ecobee Smart Si has been a perfect solution. If I wake up early in the a.m. and it's too cold to get up, I love being able to turn on the heat from my iPhone before getting out of bed. I love checking the temp before I arrive home in the evening or from a trip. This thermostat does everything it claims to do, and it does it well. It doesn't do excessive cycling to maintain temp, which my former thermostat did. I just can't think of a negative thing to say. I'm about to buy my second.
The only negative, which isn't its fault, is that if you only have four wires on your current thermostat, you'll have to do some rewiring on your furnace circuit board, but it's pretty simple. If you don't do this, you'll only lose one function which is the ability to set your fan to go on for a few minutes once an hour while you're on vacation, to keep air circulating in your home.

Excellent product
The quality of this coupling is stellar. My only complaint is that it is sized for two different hoses and I have the smaller diameter (5/8"). That made it a bit difficult to force down the throat of the hose. But I soaked it for a minute in hot water and used the nose of a closed pair of pliars as a pusher, and managed to get it seated. Once installed it worked like a dream with no leakage.
