A must for good control
I put these on all of my XD subcompact magazines. it gives a much more secure grip on the firearm and really looks nice, too. Springfield should really make these standard on all their subcompact magazines.

Better than factory.
Outstanding quality, probably better than the factory magazines at almost half the price. Easier to disassemble and clean than the factory magazines, too. Mec-Gar are the only magazines I will buy for my CZ and many of my other firearms, too.

Meh
This does not really fit any of my uppers very securely. I'm worried that it will crush the upper if I tighten it enough to actually hold it steady. I've seen upper inserts to be used with a block such as this and I think it is essential if you plan to use this for anything other than very light work. Trying to mount a barrel and tighten the nut would make me very nervous with this. About the only thing I could see using this for is maybe cleaning the upper. After receiving this, I spent the extra money and ordered the Magpul BEV block and it is much more secure.
