Perfect size; a little more support needed
We bought this sandbox for our 2 and 3 year old. It is the perfect size for them! Very easy to assemble. Cedar is a soft wood, so the structure itself would benefit from additional supports under the middle of the seat area on each side. My husband cut up a 2x4 and screwed it underneath the benches at the halfway mark to make it stronger, so that when our kids naturally step up on the seat to get in the sandbox, it doesn’t bend or eventually break (which was the first thing he did when he got in the sandbox!)
Also, it is necessary to PRE-DRILL the screws in order to not risk splitting the wood, which happened to us a few times.
