My take on this reel:

Knowing this is a saltwater reel, geared for heavier fish, I bought to cast spoons for Pike in Mn and plastics (In heavy cover) for bass in IL., knowing I would have excess gear capacity. Casts a mile, retrieve is better (Better: Smoother retrieve, distance, drag (Based on catching a few bass) than my Revo | STX Bait-casters.) I will give it a 4/5, because one spool (Blue) "Clicks" when I retrieve with it. (I think its the advanced drag system which seems lose and shaky. (Will need to take apart and rebuild.)) I would, with confidence, recommend this reel. MJB
