Professional diagnosis...Vostro 1000 motherboard failure.
I was looking at a $300 charge by my local computer shop to repair my Dell Vostro 1000. Took a shot and bought a motherboard from JK Computer Parts to repair the laptop myself. Had to swap out the CPU, WLAN chipset and MEM because replacement MB ships without those items as indicated in photo. No problem. Unit arrived in antistatic bag and was well packed. MB looked almost brand new and had test markings on port connectors. Reassembled laptop, fired up. WiFi initiated, new drivers loaded for video and audio. Rebooted. All is well. Thank you JK.
