Our second dance with this toaster
Our first one of this model of toaster lasted for quite a few years, and when one of the heating coils stopped working, we replaced it with the same model. So: yes, would buy again.
It accommodates large and wide slices of bread, has a defrost setting, and has a wide range of toasting levels from "waft warm air over the bread" to "turn the bread into a piece of charcoal." It also has a button called "A bit more," which is cute. We haven't used the "bagel" button since where we live there are no real bagels.
It beeps to tell you when the toast is ready, and raises the toast slowly rather than flinging it onto the floor.
I guess designing a toaster to brown evenly is harder than establishing a human base on Mars, but this one does as well as any other.
I'm not the one who cleans it, but my other half wouldn't put up with an appliance that's hard to clean.
