IDATALINK IDATASTART ADS-HC1 REMOTE STARTER ALL IN ONE WITH KEY BYPASS HC1151A

    Advance Remote Starter
Owned a 2006 RAV4 and had the OEM Toyota RES installed on day one. Range was not great but that was not my biggest concern. After a few years, it started to act up and refuses to start when the temperature drop below -12C. I thought that was what having a Remote Starter is for. After much time spend troubleshooting the unit, I finally came to the conclusion that I need to replace it with something better. After much research and reading all kinds of reviews from all the other major brand of Remote Starter, I settle on the iDataStart HC1. It allows me to remote start with the OEM FOB ( no need for long range in my case ) with 3X Lock. This unit includes 2 1-way FOB that I thought I may need considering that a lot of newer vehicle will disable the OEM FOB after a car is started. I feel I needed a backup to allow me for the use of keyless entry after remote starting the vehicle. The installation was pretty straight forward. I removed the OEM Remote Starter but leave all the related wiring intact. This allow me to patch the iDataStart into the car with the minimum of wiring and connections. I only need to make 3 new connections to the Immobilizer and the parking light connector. The immobolizer was the the hardest to get at and having 2 pink wire from the same connections really slow things down. After all the connections were completed, the programming part was the easiest to complete. Took only 3 mins to program the modules. Now the car can be started with both the OEM FOB and the included 1-way aftermarket FOB ( It is by far the slickest and lightest FOB I had ever handle). After the vehicle is remote started, both OEM FOB and aftermarket FOB are able to unlock and lock all the doors which is the biggest bonus. This mean I only need to have the OEM FOB with me and not having to handle 2 FOBs. Operation is really smooth. The seller of this unit is also one of the most helpful ebayer. Thank you so much.
