Hyde 09170 Dust-Free Vacuum Pole Sander without Pole
This works! It captures almost all of the dust produced by sanding drywall. You certainly don't need to worry about sealing your work area of from the rest of the house, just close the doors and go to it. A few other reviews mentioned the joint between the sander and the pole being too loose which makes it difficult to use the wide width of the sander. I've found that it's no more difficult to use then a regular pole sander and have had no problem using the wide width of the sander. Another potential negative that I'd seen mentioned was that the sanding screen barely fits in the sander. Again, this has turned out to be a non-issue for me since the sanding screen is large that it's pretty easy to wrap it around the sanding and insert it into the clips on each end of the sander. Once the sanding screen is secured in the clips, it's not going anywhere. In short, this is the kind of tool I love. It does it's job well and it looks like it should be durable with proper use. For the money, anyone that is doing drywall should have one.
