As a novice, can't compare , but satisfied.

I purchased this as a used unit, slightly scratched. I have no Idea as to how it was previously used or cared for. Cosmetically, it was good looking. I have no experience with tablets, but this is doing more than I need at this time. I use it mostly for lyrics that I write as a songwriter. These are not online, so it's hard to get on some tablets. I just email to the cloud, and it's there! I tried to write on a "word" app, but it's clumsy with all the auto correct and second guessing my intentions. I don't think it will ever replace a laptop, but as far as casual surfing and email, words with friends etc., it seems to do well. Still concerned about battery consumption, and how to optimize for longer use. I assume less stuff installed would help, just load as you need? They have many free apps that I've enjoyed but should probably remove after using. Books and Magazines are very nice to read and browse, and quite interactive! The web is pretty much full function on most everything. The unit is a 2012 model which is about 2 years old at the time of this review, but new to me. I did have to figure the year out on my own to buy an after-market cover. Wish it could be better identified to differentiate from all the other Kindle Fire HD7's! There are many years/models/configures using the same name. I think batteries drain looking for Wi-Fi if roaming.

Table top Mic Clamp

I host a couple of open-mic nights locally, and needed an unobtrusive mic stand to do some MC and intros. This clamped right to my mixer stand and with a flex goose neck, the mic is right where I need it. Cheap and simple!

Dawn T100 100W Active PA Speaker with Built-In Mixer

Very capable and expanding unit!

I have used the smaller PA50 and PW50 for many years and love them! I wanted a faster/simpler set up for shows and this was perfect. With the smaller ones I use in pairs with subs, this was enough by its self, but I still use a small sub to carry the deeper bass. Actually, I use a rumble 40 as a sub. Perfect! Fast easy lightweight quality sound for a rock trio playing to 75 people! I see a great future with this T100.
