very good sound
If you are not mechanically inclined, do not attempt to install yourself. I am, so it took me a couple of hours to install. I did the permanent installation. Took the chance I would like the product enough to keep it. The instructions are vague at best. The sound is very good on my Dobro. I'm not experiencing any hot spots on the neck and all of the strings are even in volume. No buzz or distortion. When installing, pay close attention to the directions where the small piece of rubber isolates the pickup wire. No batteries to mess with. I have a Martin VTM control with the metal body. It works very well with this pickup. I am now tinkering with the idea of installing a volume and tone control to the body of the guitar.
