timely subject matter
This story is very compelling as I still think about the right or wrong of the death penalty. Although there are many story lines, they are easy to follow and the premise makes sense. I dislike a book where there have to be "miracles" to make things come together and make the story work. This book delivers a believable story and keeps you interested until the last word.

outstanding book
This story was so well developed, the characters, the plot, and the writing about writing (!) was first class. It doesn't rely on the same old story line that so many books have. It will make you read every word right to the end.
