Poor Wi-Fi

Modem works well with direct connection to it using the cables but is a very poor performer using the 2.4 wi-fi. Poor coverage plus many drop outs. I purchased a Netgear modem for my Xfinity service and it works much better; I highly doubt I would buy another Arris product.

Did The Trick For Me

It takes a little time to read the manual and learn to how program it but once you get the hang of it, it goes great. The down side is that you can program only two additional devices. The audio button is only used for an audio device. Same with buttons for TV, Sat/Cbl and DVD. You can't use them to program anything else if you wanted to. Now the good news, it learned two of my oddball satellite remotes. Also, the Sat/Cbl button had my receiver pre-programmed but it did not have a couple extra buttons pre-programmed but this remote learned those extra keus too. I'm happy I only have one remote now instead of five.
