Great for small rooms
The unit has low and high speeds. Low speed is very quiet but only adequate for smaller rooms. Larger rooms require high speed, which is too noisy in my opinion. Since the target bedroom is small, I am very happy with this unit. It is easy to fill, doesn't require much cleaning and doesn't spew out minerals like ultrasonic units. The filters are readily available. For a larger room I'll be looking for another product.

Nice coffeemaker that doesn't use pods
This is my second 49981A coffeemaker, the first one broke after 4 years. It's hard to find a single-cup maker that doesn't use pods. I wanted a single-cup maker with a permanent filter. Sure pods are more convenient but I hated the waste they produce, and like having more choice to use the coffee I like. The 49981A makes a nice cup of coffee and is consistent. I was pleased to find the same model still available after four years. It does its job well.

OK for eneloop batteries
This is a great charger for eneloop batteries. It is disappointing for other types. It has a limitation of 2550 mAh. With one set of good batteries I got Abnormal indicators which the manual does not want to enlighten you about. Also I expected that during charge the cumulative charge is not provided (only for discharge). Overall disappointing and not much better than my dumb chargers.
