  Unfortunately, the glass dome was shattered in shipping. I knew something was wrong when I received the package because of sound of shattered glass rattling around inside the boxes. The only way to alleviate the issue would be to use foam peanuts or ground cardboard to ship glass items. I am using this item for parts and luckily the dome was not what I needed.
