This is why Indy is called "The Brickyard"
Perfect display base for pre 1961 Indy cars

A little deceptive as it covers the entire Daytona Coupe history, not just CSZ 2300
I thought I'd seen every picture ever taken of the Daytonas back in period, but this book is loaded with what must be around 450 pictures, very few of which I'd seen before. There are numerous photos of the first Daytona under construction and numerous shots at the tracks. The author clearly interviewed almost everyone who had any part in the history of these cars and there is a lot of personal detail included, together with driver biographies and some history of the other players such as Alan Mann. My one small gripe is that the while the construction process for the first car, and then the five built largely in Italy is laid out in fascinating detail, the explanation for how the roof on CSX2299 got messed up while somewhat consistent with the story that some at AC messed up, is inconsistent with how the book describes the construction of the frames. That is a very small complaint; buy this book.

1964-65 F-1 tires
Really made and the only game in town for 13" tires of that era.
