A superb film noir that's at the top of every critic's list!
One of the ultimate classic film noir - with a screenplay by Dalton Trumbo and directed by Joseph Losey. The climax of this great movie is almost surreal - wow!. A wonderful DVD restoration makes this a fantastic viewing experience. A must-see!!!

It’s too bad the artwork is displayed on pages that have a dull matte finish - it would have been noticeably better had it been on high gloss. But it does have a fairly good selection of Balthus’ work.

Epic film! I remember seeing this with my Spanish class when it was first released in theaters. Brilliant in every aspect - a must-see movie!
