Excellent, solid product
I'm using this primarily as an audio player, for SACDs, DVD-Audio and CDs. Sound quality is excellent. Build is great - weighs about 25 pounds or so. Easy to use. Display is clean. Item came without a remote - you can pick one up for about $20 from Ebay, but the remote is not essential for its use. This is meant for stereo sound, so if you're interested in 5.1 audio inputs/outputs you'll need to look elsewhere.

Absolutely essential tool for programming the Yamaha DVD -S2300 system
Without the remote, the Yamaha DVD -S2300 system has basic functionality - all advanced features are only possible with the remote. Removed 1 star because the keys are not back-lit, so can't be used in the dark, and the remote cannot turn the system off and on.
