What a difference a NS billet hanger makes.
Bought this billet hanger to replace the hanger that came on my bike. The old hanger would cause a binding when threading in the 12mm thru axle if the hanger bolt was tight. Minor imperfections in the finish created a non-uniform surface. Aluminum binding on aluminum is not good.
I found this, North Shore Billet hanger that appeared of a nice quality With a CNC contact surface. Threw it on the bike, put the axle in and tightened the hanger bolt. When I pulled the axle, the binding was gone. Put the wheel on and tightened the axle. Worked just as it should...straight alignment for the derailleur, seamless frame/hanger integration and no axle binding. If I ever bend it, I'll buy another one.
