21 Fret CA Tiger Flame Guitar Neck for ST Strat Abalone Dots Middle Line Inlay
    Nov 12, 2020
Needs some fret work, but still an awesome value
This neck looks GORGEOUS. The tiger stripe is cool and the finish is very well done. Tuners fit in no problem, and the heel is cut to the right specs so it required no finishing in that respect in order to fit in my guitar body. The truss rod works great and even though it's in the heel, adjusting it isn't that much more difficult than if it was at the top of the neck once you figure out what you're doing (hint...slacken the strings, move them off to the edges of the fretboard, and then loosen the neck bolts. Make your adjustments, tighten and tune, then repeat until you've got your neck relief set).. The frets needed to be leveled, crowned, and polished, but I was expecting that for this price. The edges also needed to be rounded a bit...but all of that is about an hour of work if you've got a wood block, some sandpaper, and a dremel with a buffing wheel on it so it's not a big deal and if you're not a DIY-er with guitar stuff you shouldn't be buying an aftermarket neck in the first place. It plays great and looks even better.

BOOM AVE Bass Preamp DI Box Multi Effects Pedal Compressor Boost Fuzz Octave FX
    Sep 01, 2020
    Good value, sounds great
It's an awesome-playing pedal that does a lot for not a lot of money. Boost/Compressor is functional but not very tailorable, however having it (especially the compression) is almost always better than not having it. Fuzz is Big Muff-esque, but sounds more like regular Overdrive if you turn on the Preamp. In their own literature Sonicake says that they're going for an SVT-esque sound with the preamp, and they do really well in that regard. The octave effect is really nice and tracks really well. All in all I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a decent multi-effects pedal that covers most of your bases.
