    About

I live in Alaska with my wife and 3 kids. It is the best place in the world, in my opinion, and I don't foresee myself leaving the state anytime soon.

A review of The Inquisitor's Handbook by FoxPhoenix135
This product is a wonderful supplement to the game of Dark Heresy by Fantasy Flight Games. Useful to both players and gamemasters, this well-made hardcover contains a myriad of options for the inquisitional acolyte. First off, there are new options for the character creation process. This includes new Worlds of Origin, which add both character and gameplay benefits during the creation process. There is also a new type of character available for selection: the fabled women of the Adeptus Sororitas. Furthermore, there are starting packages available to the character classes that can be purchased with XP, granting additional traits and skills that help solidify the role of the character. These are great options to create new and interesting characters. If that is not reason enough to purchase this supplement, there are advanced rank-paths that the characters can choose to diverge on, to create a unique and interesting break from the normal path of development for the characters. For example, a techpriest can choose to dedicate him/her self to the sciences of destruction, becoming a Mechanicus Secutor. An Assassin can dedicate himself to an ancient Imperial Death Cult and become a Moritat Reaper, unmatched in close-combat prowess. These interesting alternate ranks can make a deadly-character absolutely lethal. They also add interesting plot hooks for the GM to capitalize on! At the end of the book, there are also expanded rules for some skills, giving the players more options with the skills they pick. Advanced crafting rules give the more-creative players a chance to exercise their creative genius. Arts and crafts time, anyone? A lot of the skills that are expanded greatly enhance the effects of the skills, and this section alone makes the book worth buying. But wait, there's more! For the tech-head, there are dozens of new gear options from planets across the sector, ranging from primitive muskets to hyper-advanced xenos tech. New armor, gear, and of course weapons, is split into several sections depending on the world they are normally found on. Tables for ease of reference are located in the back of the book, which is helpful! Finally, there is a wealth of expanded background and fluff on the world of 40k and the Inquisition. An acolyte's role is explained in detail, such as his/her duties and responsibilities. A bit more on the actual structure of the inquisitional power hierarchy is explained as well. This may not be the most important section for those who already have a pretty good idea how it works, but for starting players this section is invaluable. Overall rating: 5 out of 5. There is very little in this rulebook that I would not find useful. It has beautiful artwork, and is very well bound in a hardcover that should stand up to the use I will no doubt be putting it through. If you purchase this supplement to enhance your DH games, I am certain you will not regret it. Thank you to Fantasy Flight Games for a wonderful product! Solid casting and clean lines
I found no bubbles or significant defects in craftsmanship... no parts were noticeably warped either! I did have to google instructions but that was expected with a model this complicated.
