Good price but...

Upon receiving the kit I immediately looked over all the parts. The gears and other moving parts are really nice but the case casting is extremely poor quality. Inside the case, casting sand was not completely removed. They then painted right over what was left. The paint was thick and had drips on the machined surfaces which would have interfered with the trust washer end play. I’m pretty sure that if I had left the casting sand there it would have come loose and wrecked the bearings. If anyone had looked inside that case it would probably have been rejected. I have spent hours getting all that casting material out of the inside by sand blasting. Shot blasting would probably be a better choice but that was not available in my area. I have rebuilt many T 90 transmissions over the last 30 years and have never seen anything like this.Next time I will find a good used case instead.
