Excellent program!
We used Saxon math for our kids through high school. In fact, we have another curriculum we use for everything else and when we saw how well Saxon prepared our older kids for the ACT, we scrapped that curriculum's included math and started buying Saxon from the early grades for our littles.
Have you ever experienced the situation, in math, where you'd learned how to do a problem, but then a couple months later, you couldn't remember how to complete that kind of problem any more? That doesn't happen with Saxon because one learns how to do a new type of problem and gets one of those problems each day for the rest of the year. You never forget what you learned while you "overlearn", which is essential for math mastery. Saxon calls it "incremental development"--and it works!
