The Bible I Can't Put Down
Yes, and it's not even a paraphrase but an actual translation...in today's English. What a difference that makes: I no longer fall asleep trying to plod through a chapter, but find myself reading 8-10 chapters at a time without wanting to stop! It surpasses even the NIV in readability. I've been enjoying ALL the books of the Bible now for their stories, advice, and inspiration. Poetic sections are formatted as poetry, allowing the beauty of the words and contrast of the phrases to shine through. I've bought several good used copies as giveaways to acquaintances who tell me they are enjoying them, too. This is the Bible version you will READ!

Not My Favorite Cybershot
5 of 5 found this helpful Of the several Sonys I've owned before and after this model, I have to say:
Yes, it has a long zoom...but be prepared to lose good shots waiting for the lens to extend and focus.
And yes, it brags an impressive 20.1 mgp, but it's hard to keep steady enough (w/o tripod) to achieve sharpness. (I've compensated for otherwise poor shots by saturating the photos with extra color and upping the contrast when printing them, which I actually do at my favorite pharmacy photo kiosk...and people seem to enjoy those, even when they're the subjects; but this model takes few that I would enlarge even to 5x7, even when using the finer setting.
I find it miserable to shut the battery/memory card compartment securely when in the "field" and frustrating getting the lens cap off, esp. in a hurry. This is so even in the 400 model.
It does have interesting features like some edits and effects, but I really miss the ones I found most useful (in-camera cropping) and fun (painted look, illustration) in others of their earlier cybershots.
I actually do like the fact that it uses regular AA batteries that are available anywhere, in case I need them as backup; normally, I use AA rechargeables and am happy with their duration. And I'm glad Sony is now making models such as this that can accept a variety of memory cards, not just the Sony brand.
I am most satisfied with the easy-to-use on-screen menus and on-camera control buttons.

UGLY COVER but EASY-READ BIBLE
In great shape...they just LOOK tattered and filthy—that's the cover design—and probably why people didn't want to bother with them in the first place! I've bought several used, and they all look UNused; but inside is my favorite layout (only one column, like a story book) of my favorite version of the Scriptures (New Century Version...translated from original languages into today's English). It's a very readable, but accurate Bible, which keeps me reading chapters at a time, actually understanding what's going on and not getting drowsy as with some other versions!
