Smooth, Quiet and Powerful
1 of 1 found this helpful I've owned a couple of other (albeit cheaper) rotary tools in the past. I've also owned a vintage Dremel model (circa 1980s). That vintage Dremel model was always a pleasure to work with. When the vintage model Dremel got fatally damaged (due to a preventable accident), I turned to these cheaper, "good value", rotary tools just to get the job done. They performed well enough get the work done. But they were a pain in the but to use due to their 'mini-jackhammer' like vibration and noise; the result of substandard quality balancing, by the manufacturer, of the rotating components inside. (FYI: Such vibration is a potential ergonomic-health risk. My hand would feel numb after using one of these.)
Now however, I've got this new Dremel. It runs silky smooth, quiet, and powerful. And I couldn't be more pleased with it.
