Best Hummingbird Flower!

I will be planting these seeds in early spring, starting them inside and then transferring them to outdoor pots after the last frost. So I have not yet used the seeds...however I do know that this "Cigar Plant" has been my best ever for attracting hummingbirds. The flowers are just the right size for their beaks.

I love this book!

If you have any interest in birdwatching, this is an awesome children's book. A very cute story about a granddaughter going birdwatching with her grandfather and catching not only her grandfather's love of birding but also his wry wit. The artwork is lovely, I read the book myself several times and always saw some new detail. Although the birds are cartoon drawings for children, most of them are recognizable real birds. I bought the book for my birder sister-in-law but when I sent it to her I had to buy another one for myself to keep. Good for any children or anyone who likes children's books, but particularly good for anyone who likes children's books and birdwatching.
