Useful but expensive.
This is a really nice, really bright light. I’ve owned Surefire's for many years now and have found them to be absolutely bulletproof. The Intellibeam was new to me until I bought this light, and I think it has real world uses. Is it necessary? No. Is it useful? Yes. Is it worth the money? I guess that depends on who you talk to. While I really like this light, I probably wouldn’t buy this particular Surefire again. I think I’d buy the regular Surefire Fury. I own both. Both are very bright and well made, like all Surefire’s. Benchmade
I’ve carried a Benchmade for about 20 years now with absolutely no problems. I really like the Axis lock. It makes opening the knife one handed effortless. You may have to loosen one screw just a tiny bit to do so, but will only have to do so one time. After that, you’ll be good to go! When you dull the blade you can always send it back to Benchmade to have it honed to a factory edge. This can be done as many times as you’d like, for the life of the knife, absolutely free!! Sadly, there are a few cheap fakes on the market today, including Ebay, so my advice is to be careful who you buy it from. Check feedback scores. As with anything, if it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. I buy American made products whenever possible. The quality and warranty of a Benchmade knife are incredible, and the fact that it’s made in the USA makes me a very happy and loyal customer!! You won’t go wrong with a Benchmade!!
