Was a little concerned but seems to be the real deal.
We had researched this printer on Consumer Reports and decided to get it, but we were looking for a second hand version to save a little more money for our business. This worked out perfectly so far.
Ours actually did come in the original box, it had just been opened. Toner levels were still really high and it was easy to set up.
