Recommended receiver Pioneer Elite SC-LX501
1 of 1 found this helpful I tried a lot of receivers in the last year and no one had the sound I was searching for. I tried Pioneer Elite VSX-90, Marantz SR7011, Yamaha RX-A3070, Yamaha and Denon AVR-X6300. Now with PioneerElite SC-LX501 finally I found a sound more in the style of my Bryston-Revel stereo system. The detail is perefct in music or movies, I tried with a pair of small Pinnacle BD-500 (it needs subwoofer, but the sound is clear, near to perfect in mid and top frequencies) and my old Revel M12, with the Revels subwoofer isn't necessary. Now for the money I paid $499.99 is a bargain. I didn't think a receiver could sound so right.
