Good replacement for broken or lost original equipment
Quality is probably as good as original Toyota part, but these lack the position locator the originals have. The original wheelcovers engage a metal bar welded to the rim near the valve stem to keep the wheelcover from rotating in relation to the rim over time. The wheelcovers are notched at the valve stem to prevent contact, but allowing contact will probably not cause a problem. The original wheelcovers contact the valve stem anyway if care is not exercised to align the parts when installing them. The design of these wheelcovers allows putting the tension ring in one of two positions to control fit tightness, and I had to use the outermost position to install them on a 2007 Camry. The quality of the original Toyota wheelcovers was questionable, as I would see a piece break off nearly every time I removed them for tire rotation. The appearance of these wheelcovers is extremely similar to the originals, except that they lack the Toyota logo.

Does not fit cars with Carter W-1 carburetor, due to space restrictions between carb inlet and metering rod cover.
The vehicle for which this item was listed and purchased uses a Carter W-1 carb. The Carter W-1 has a sheet metal cover over the metering rod and accelerator pump linkage, very near the throat of the carburetor and just a bit taller. There is a very narrow space between the cover and carb inlet. Because this air cleaner was made for a slightly larger carb, it includes a plastic ring to adapt it to the smaller W-1 inlet - but the gap on the W-1 is too narrow for the spacer, clamp, and air cleaner flange. Based on the carb throat dimensions only, I can understand why this air cleaner would be listed for my car (1947 Chevy Fleetmaster), but in practice, it does not fit. I am making an adapter that will allow using the air cleaner, because I do not expect to find another type that will overcome the spacing issue. I would imagine this issue is common to the Carter W-1.
