Basic remote
The remote works fine but be prepared to adapt to your intended use. Soldering is required according to purpose the remote is employed. Next order will be for remote with built in mode switching and 4 channel capability. Remote works great after adapting for my intended purpose. Wouldn't advise keychain as means of carry as button is exposed to accidental activation.

After nearly destroying 1of the 3 I purchased soldering leads to it I was pretty sure I'd destroyed it. Surprisingly it worked fine and still is. I'm using an 18650 battery and getting a steady 12.2V out. I'm using these to light multiple Leds in portable fixtures. With a 30ma load and 8 leds using a 2300ma 18650 battery the fixtures light for at least 8 hours. I'm assuming these use very little power on there own. I'm highly satisfied and surprised with my results. If you've the patience for the long delivery times to the States performance as well as price wise these can't be beat!

Impressive, many faceted Race set.

The instructions state Do not attempt installation on carpet which I promptly ignored remembering the small sets i received when I was a kid. I got it to work but this is a large set so plan on a permanent install. My plans are in progress as we speak and the set is cleaned and back in the box. I had great success concentrating on one of the Box stock cars which came with the set. Simple tire treatments do wonders for the drive ability and the speed of the cars. Lower the car as much as possible and they become smokers. I'm planning on a table to accommodate several different layouts and they could have done a much better job on the attachment holes. They're little bitty things making the counter sinking a pain in the rump. Overall though it's the most track with the most power they sell. If you've the hours to waste and the fond memories you won't regret the low price to achieve it.
