Does what it's supposed to.
If you need a BMW/Mini clutch switch and this fits your car, I can recommend it! (Otherwise it will be of little use to you, but even then it's nicely made.)

Buy it if it's what you need
It did the job I bought it for, but not without a lot of palaver. Was expressly purchased for BMW specific service (resetting an internal adaptation on the transfer case of an X3). It can do this. Or it COULD do this. I tested it when I got it, and found all the settings (didn't do it). Then I updated the software on it (as recommended) while I waited for my car parts to arrive. Did the repair. Ran the scan tool again, and it said my car was not supported for that function. Long story short, I had to downgrade the firmware in order to regain that function. Tool works. A bit slow. A bit clunky. Very reasonably priced. Support is iffy at best. Regular OBDII functions are as good as my older scanner so far.

Great value thus far - no worse than the expensive OEM ones I've tried.
My car eats these, and this one has lasted as long and well as any of the others I've installed. The fundamental design is terrible, but that goes back to OEM, so this one is - again - no worse. And the value was great.
