One of the best 2D platformers in the modern generation
This and even the underrated Yoshi’s Crafted World have taken unique approaches since Good Feel tried with Wario Land since 2008. The gameplay is just as traditional like the og Yoshi’s Island but even better in quality. It may not have the challenge that the og brought but it’s cuteness, easiness, and tone down collections made up for it. Bigger improvement unlike another Yoshi game that’s released on the same 3DS handheld. The only issue I can think of is it’s lack of 2 player mode and the worlds being in 2D since instead of a free world roaming around the levels. Overall it’s not only one of the best Yoshi games that it has to offer but one of the best games in the Wii U and 3DS. I definitely recommend getting this if you have a 3DS.
