Great Lightweight and Compact Laptop
I bought this HP Pavilion dv2-1110US as a back-up to my potent but hardly portable HP 6535b and had pretty low expectations of it since it seemed to be less a 'real' computer than it was a slightly muscular HP Mini. Boy, was I wrong.
After living with it a couple of weeks the dv2 has shown its mettle in real-world work applications that have caused me to give it a lot more respect.
The light weight and compact dimensions mean I can stow the thing in my briefcase without having to displace the paperwork and administrivia I am forced to cart around and can leave the dedicated computer case the 6535b demands. So the dv2 goes pretty much everywhere with me. Overall I don't think I could be much happier with the dv2.
PROS
· Weighs next-to-nothing and really compact. Thinner than a politician's promise.
· More than enough computing power to handle multiple work-related (Office, PowerPoint, Excel and browsing) tasks with aplomb.
· Doesn't choke when using lardier applications like Photoshop.
· Great display and well-sized for a near-netbook.
· Feels really well-built.
· Great battery life with when I replaced the 250Gb hard disk with a solid-state drive (6+hours when working) and Vista replaced by Windows 7.
· Looks cool
· Powered by AMD - an Intel-free zone!
· With the outboard DVD drive, gives great movie as regards playback and picture quality.
CONS
· No built-in DVD drive.
· Came with Vista (ugh!).
· Graphics not game-friendly.
· Shares netbook-like poxy audio with poorly-located mini speakers.
· I forgot to tick the box for the Bluetooth option.

A better Rocket Man
Good quality and has none of the technical issues the version from Cheezy Flicks seems inflicted with.
One complaint: I wish it had a "Play All" option in the main menu.

Great Value for Money...and it Sounds Great
At the price this beast is incredible value. It's bigger than I expected and had a nice heft to it. Not perfect, but at the price the niggles don't impact in function enough to detract.
