Love classical music? You have to see this. Not a fan? Watch it anyway.
1 of 1 found this helpful The original Fantasia is one of the all-time great works of cinematic art, in my opinion. I have seen it in theaters a few times, and that is really the way to see it. If you have a high quality home system, this is a movie you need to see.
I bought this 2-disc set because I had never seen the sequel, Fantasia 2000. It isn't quite the masterpiece that the original is, but that would be very hard to equal. Very good stuff, just the same.
I also got it to show to my girlfriend, who isn't much into classical music. Yet. I think a few more times through the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment, and we'll be making progress. She does recognize Beethoven's 5th Symphony now (in Fantasia 2000).
I wish I could convince everyone in the world to see these two movies at least once. The world might become a more enlightened place.

Quick and Easy Port Hole for your Bass Drum Head
This is super easy to install, it looks good, and it will help keep that mic hole from tearing and ruining your bass drum head. It looks good enough to install on the outside, or you can put it inside out of sight. Either way, it reinforces the opening to prevent damage from microphones and booms falling on the relatively delicate head material.
On the down side, the instructions are minimal. No info as to which side of the head they suggest you install it, nothing about cleaning the surface first so the adhesive will stick well, little about how you still have to cut the hole by hand which will still be somewhat imperfect. I installed mine on the inside of the head and got a couple of air bubbles under it which are only slightly visible on the head. I used sandpaper to smooth the edges of the hole, and now it is "perfect" from any distance likely to be looked at.
All in all, a very good product that is easy to use and should provide a good solution to both cutting a good-looking hole and protecting the edges of it.
